A dedication to sustainability shines through with many environmentally friendly LED lights – more than 400,000 twinkling lights in all Admission is free to children under 12, and a suggested minimum donation of $2 per adult. Special events include a Grand Opening on November 26, a Gift and Plant Sale on December 12 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and a Dog Parade on December 26 at 3:00pm. The Lights of Lake Park Estates originated in 1993 to celebrate the life of our neighbor, Ruby Dow, and salute the care she recieved from our community hospice, The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. In 2007 Eddie Dow, Ruby's husband, whose passion and spirit made all this possible, passed away. With our memories of Ruby and Eddie shining as brightly as our holiday lights, we rededicate The Lights of Lake Park Estates to both of them and The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
