Free. Join Dale Armstrong and Wilma Holley for this informative workshop to learn how easy it can be. Just add your kitchen scraps to your yard clippings and compost happens! Adding compost to Florida’s sandy soil provides much-needed organic material and nutrients while improving its water-holding capacity. Recycling your yard waste by turning it into compost rather than sending it to the landfill is a sustainable practice!
To get you started, attendees will receive one compost bin per household courtesy of Pinellas County Utilities Solid Waste Operations Department.

(Every Sunday indefinitely) The landmark Pier in the heart of St. Petersburg is a unique piece of Florida architecture that offers visitors a chance to experience the waterfront along Tampa Bay. Located at the end of a 1/4-mile-long approach, this five story inverted pyramid features shops, restaurants, its own aquarium, live music and even boat docks. The top floor of The Pier combines both the tropical dining of Cha Cha Coconuts with a huge observation deck, giving the visitor a truly unique observation point on Tampa Bay.
