Can you imagine a more beautiful setting for a sunset celebration? The Treasure Island Beach Trail runs behind the gulf front motels and hotels for a quarter mile, directly on the beach. Saturday Sunsets on the Trail is a sunset celebration that takes place along Treasure Island's gulf front beach trail on the first and third Saturdays of June, July & August and the first Saturday in September. This free family event features artisans, crafters, street performers and live musical entertainment, weather permitting, from 5pm until 9pm.

It was 50 years ago that America invented a new dance craze called "The Twist" but in 2004, a group in England established the Guinness official world record by having the largest number of twisters, twisting the night away in one place at the same time. It's time to bring this title to Largo! Be a part of this year's 4th of July Celebration in Largo Central Park for the biggest dance party of all time. At The Pier's fireworks show, one can get real close to the light show above. On occasion, ash might fall into your hair! A favorite with both photographers and the casual observer, these fireworks, shot off the waters of the Pier and Spa Beach, are ones that shouldn't be missed. Grab a blanket or a lawn chair and park your seat in the grassy area. Food vendors are closely located to provide hot dogs, fries and refreshments (beer included).

The fireworks will be launched off a barge in the Garrison Channel at 9:00PM.
Channelside will also be hosting live music, fun, and of course fireworks at 9:00pm! Parking will be available in Channelside, but spots will fill up quickly so event goers are encouraged to also utilize Tampa's TECO Line Streetcar. Another way to quickly get to the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration is the Selmon Expressway - the most efficient roadway for many in the Tampa community. A "world renowned" sand artist will create a patriotic sand sculpture from 40 tons of sand which will be near the Plaza (north end) of North Straub Park. The artist will begin work on Friday, July 2 in the afternoon and will finish on July 4th. 5:00 p.m. live entertainment from 3 live bands before the big fireworks display at 9 p.m. Visit the food vendors or hang out by the music stage for rock originals and cover songs by various musicians. A family zone area will be set up on the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa property with arts and crafts, miniature golf, and a moon walk. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. and the best viewing area will be on the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa property and at the Marina. Entrance is at the gate at the upper part of the marina.

"Flashback" performs for Music Fest. One of your favorite bands, "Flashback", will be with us, again on Sunday, August 2nd, in the Waterside Courtyard. Performing your favorite classic rock tunes. join us for facing and/or listening in the Courtyard every Sunday for our Music Fest on the Water. (Every Sunday indefinitely) The landmark Pier in the heart of St. Petersburg is a unique piece of Florida architecture that offers visitors a chance to experience the waterfront along Tampa Bay. Located at the end of a 1/4-mile-long approach, this five story inverted pyramid features shops, restaurants, its own aquarium, live music and even boat docks. The top floor of The Pier combines both the tropical dining of Cha Cha Coconuts with a huge observation deck, giving the visitor a truly unique observation point on Tampa Bay. The Pier features plenty of parking, complete with trolley service linking the Pier to the rest of downtown. Every Sunday from Aug 02, 2009 to Aug 01, 2010.
